➱ STORYLINE:

Ratatouille (2007) follows the adventures of Remy, a rat with a passion for cooking, who dreams of becoming a great chef despite his family's wishes and the obvious problem of being a rat in a decidedly rodent-phobic profession. Remy finds himself in the sewers of Paris and discovers his ideal restaurant, owned by his culinary hero, Auguste Gusteau. With the help of the garbage boy Linguini, Remy begins to realize his dream, creating culinary masterpieces while maintaining the deception of his true identity. The film beautifully explores themes of following one's passion, friendship, and the importance of creativity.

➱ STAFF REVIEW:

Ratatouille (2007), directed by Brad Bird, is a delightful and heartwarming animated film that combines humor, heart, and exquisite animation. The voice performances, particularly by Patton Oswalt as Remy and Lou Romano as Linguini, bring the characters to life with charm and depth. The film's stunning depiction of Paris, its meticulous attention to culinary detail, and its inspiring story make it a standout in the Pixar lineup. The screenplay is witty and engaging, and Michael Giacchino’s enchanting score enhances the film’s magical atmosphere. Ratatouille is a feast for the senses and a celebration of following one’s dreams against all odds.
