➱ STORYLINE:
"Night Swim" (2024) is a fictitious story about a baseball player, Ray Waller played by Wyatt who is forced into retirement. Due to these unforeseen circumstances, the Waller family, Ray, Eve, Izzy, and Elliot, are forced to move from their home. Ray Waller had hoped that the backyard pool would be good for his physical therapy and something fun for the kids to enjoy, but something lurked beneath the surface. Unbeknownst to them, the house has a deep, dark past that unleashes its malicious force upon the family which is in the home's swimming pool where the terror begins.
➱ STAFF REVIEW:
"Night Swim" is technically an unintentional comedy, but it's categorized as a thriller/horror flick wrapped into what some call a good movie even with others giving it poor reviews. The film makes exceptionally good use of the swimming pool scenes and visuals which work well alongside Wyatt Russell's excellent acting skills, which is one of the elements that made this movie good. Interestingly, the concept of a swimming pool that evokes a sense of luxury, fun, and relaxation is the very property feature that turns on its owners. Overall, it's good entertainment.
