Invictus (2009) follows the true story of Nelson Mandela, newly elected as President of South Africa, and his mission to unite a nation divided by apartheid through the universal language of sport. Mandela joins forces with the captain of the South African rugby team, François Pienaar, to lead the underdog team to victory in the 1995 Rugby World Cup. Through their journey, the film explores themes of forgiveness, reconciliation, and the power of leadership in bringing about change and unity.
