"Ghostbusters II" sees the return of the Ghostbusters team as they battle new supernatural threats in New York City. The once-disbanded group of paranormal investigators and eliminators, consisting of Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, Egon Spengler, and Winston Zeddemore, reunites when the city faces a new wave of ghostly activity. This time, they must contend with a malevolent spirit residing in a river of psychoreactive slime beneath the city, which is fueling paranormal occurrences. The team's investigation leads them to a haunting portrait of Vigo the Carpathian, an ancient tyrant who seeks to return to life through a possessed infant.
