STAFF REVIEW:

Foxcatcher (2014) is a haunting and meticulously crafted film directed by Bennett Miller. The performances are outstanding, with Steve Carell delivering a chilling portrayal of John du Pont, transforming completely into the character's unsettling persona. Channing Tatum and Mark Ruffalo also give remarkable performances as Mark and Dave Schultz, capturing the physicality and emotional depth of their roles. The film's slow-burning tension, atmospheric cinematography, and subtle score create an unsettling and immersive experience. Foxcatcher is a powerful examination of obsession, control, and the fragility of the human psyche, making it a standout in contemporary cinema.
